The Middle East: A Personal account with Jeremy Bowen

  • Komedia 22-23 Westgate Street Bath, England, BA1 1EP United Kingdom (map)

Price: £15

Jeremy Bowen, BBC International Editor, has reported on the Middle East for more than 30 years and is uniquely placed to explain its complex past and current troubled present, helping to shed light on the diverse political, cultural and religious differences.

But his acclaimed book, The Making of the Middle East brings a very personal story too, sharing the perspectives of ordinary men and women on the front line, their leaders, whether brutal or benign, and the power games that have so often wreaked devastation on civilian populations. Through his career, he has covered conflicts all over the world, most recently reporting from Ukraine and Israel/Gaza.

He joins us in Bath for a special up-to-date assessment of the current situation.

Please note that Jeremy is a working war correspondent. If he is called away to report on world events we will endeavour to reschedule or offer a ticket refund (minus booking fee) if this is not possible.
